What makes me me.

For as long as I can remember, I’ve always been curious about the self. From teen magazine quizzes to Eastern and Western Astrology, discovering something about my psyche lights me up like a Christmas tree. Gardner’s Theory of Multiple Intelligences calls this Intrapersonal intelligence (self-smart), considered the rarest of the nine types.

Delving into the world of self-knowing allows you to leverage your strengths, unlock hidden potential and bring attention to any blind spots. Let’s take Astrology. It’s so much more than just your Sun Sign, it’s the map to your soul (thank you, Dr. Jennifer Freed). Just like Human Design is the map to your energetic blueprint. They highlight our gifts and challenges: a lesson plan to navigate into growth. It’s written in the stars, but not necessarily predetermined. Akin to the ongoing nature/nurture debate, its expression is the map to our being. You may be gifted with a talent but, without nurture, that talent will cease to elevate. Through understanding our placements, we get clear on how we can be useful and meaningful to the world around us, and how we can apply this to personal and professional relationships.

The Four-Colour Model (also known as DISC) and MBTI are popular tests for job interviews - I remember taking these for one and feeling overjoyed. They give you insight into team fit and where you can diversify. Too many Reds can create friction, while too many Greens can result in an overly malleable environment. From your Enneagram and Dharma to Numerology, Love Language and Aura Colour, opening your mind and leaning into your psyche allows you to create a deeper mind-body-soul connection. A spiritual alignment. Understanding your archetypal nature can be powerful, but there is a danger in becoming too fixated with labels and stereotyping. On paper, a Yellow might drive a Blue crazy, but when both understand each other's approach and learn to speak the same language, those differences become complementary. Self-awareness isn’t restrictive, it’s expansive. The more you understand yourself, the more you understand others—and the easier it becomes to accept different ways of thinking and working. When you know what makes you you, it creates a deeper connection, not only with yourself, but with the people around you. This is what Gardner called Interpersonal Intelligence (people-smart).

Our psychological makeup is fascinating - what makes people tick, why the same situation gets completely different reactions, why one approach doesn’t work for everyone… It still boggles my mind, in the best way possible.

Through a soul-searching journey and following my North Star, I found my home in The Art of Structure.

My purpose is to make sense of cloudiness or confusion, and understand what businesses and people need to grow.
